Here's the general history of my 1959 SAAB 93b/1964 SAAB GT 850 hybrid, based on the documents I have, as well as the story told to me by the previous owner...

The previous owner purchased a used 1964 SAAB GranTourismo (GT) 850 in September 1966 for $1750.  Just prior to this, with "only 23,000 miles on it," the the original owner rebuilt the engine with parts furnished by the SAAB Motor Co., in Portland, Oregon (just blocks from my current home!!!!!).  As told to me by the previous owner, he rolled the car within a month of purchasing it, then stored it until 1973.

In 1973 the previous owner purchased a 1959 SAAB 93b for $1.  Soon thereafter, he had all the 1964 GT 850 parts (mechanicals, drivetrain, brakes, steering, suspension/wheels, electrical, and interior) fitted into the 1959 93b body (with the exception of the rear seat, which didn't fit into the 93b).  At this time the car was repainted white (the original color, extant in the interior, is creamier, probably "golden beige").

In 1973, the odometer was reset to "0" miles.  Between 1973 and when I purchased the car, it had been driven approximately 9200 miles.  The man I purchased the car from had owned the car for 43 years when I purchased it from him in September 2009.  Since I've owned the car, I've towed it appoximately 1000 miles and driven it approximately 2600 miles.  The engine, rebuilt in 1966, has approximately 13,000 miles on it.

In September 2009, I had all engine hoses replaced, a rebuilt radiator installed, fluids changed, and brakes adjusted.  Later that year, window work and spark plug/wires/coil.  In 2014 I had new front rotors installed and had the brakes rebuilt before I drove the car to the 2014 SAAB Owner's Convention.  This year (2015) I had the water pump/generator rebuilt.  I also had the transmission rebuilt and installed a rebuilt clutch.

Included in the purchase of the vehicle is a fair pile of new and used parts (shown in the photos): custom tow bar, spare rear window, two spare wheels and tires, hood emblem, 2014 Saab owner's convention 93 award, gt850 manual, 93b manual, bags of injector parts, electronic relays, general bits and pieces, lens covers and trim, 93b hubcap, mirrors/interior light, Nardi/SAAB steering wheel, Bendix/SAAB radio, piston ring rebuild sets, brake rebuild gaskets, master cylinder, brake parts and shocks, two sets bushings, thermostat,  transmission cover, transmission mount, cv joint, electronic stuff, air filters, brake hoses, rubber trim, engine snorkel (for cold weather), mid-1960s hubcaps, two engine head gaskets, axle boot.

It should be noted that, due to the quirky and cute look of the car, and it's general rarity, in addition to turning all heads, whenever I take it to an event (classic car shows, etc.) , it typically wins an award.  Most recently, at the 2014 SAAB Owner's Convention.
